PROF. KAP JIN KIM

He has a Ph.D. degree in Textile Engineering from the Seoul National University, Korea. Prior to joining the Kyung Hee University in 1980, he was with Kolon Research Institute. He was, as visiting professor, with the Polymer Sci. and Eng. Dept., Univ. of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA from 1988 through 1989, the Institute of Polymer Engineering, the University of Akron, USA from 1997 through 1998, and the Department of Mechanical Eng., the University of Washington, Seattle, USA from 2008 through 2009. He also had some experiences to collaborate with scientists at CEMAG, Genova, Italy and the IBM Almaden Research Center, San Jose, USA. He was the President of the Korean Fiber Society in 2010. Since 2004, he has been an editor of Fibers and Polymers. He has 164 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, 13 books or book chapters, and 30 registered patents.
